DIANA SOFRONIEVA

Born in 1960 - Sofia, Bulgaria.

Diana Sofronieva completed Secondary School of Fine Arts in 1979 and graduated from the National Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia in 1985.

She has MA in Fine Art - Printmaking.

Diana works in the field of illustration, book design, posters, graphics (surface and deep printing, woodcarving, lithography).
She has been painting for the last 15 years using oil and tempera on canvas and pastel on paper. The main genres in her paintings are: figurative art, portrait, landscape, naked body, still life.
Diana has participated in more than 30 group fine art exhibitions in Bulgaria and abroad. She has 6 solo exhibitions in Sofia, Sevlievo and Bratislava.
The main theme in her art are the gypsies and the gypsies' life.
